Antje Rávik Strubel is the award-winning author of the novels Unter Schnee (2001), Fremd Gehen. Ein Nachtstück (2002), Tupolew 134 (2004) and the episodic novel In den Wäldern des menschlichen Herzens (2016). Kältere Schichten der Luft (2007) was nominated for the Leipzig Book Fair Prize, Sturz der Tage in die Nacht (2011) was long-listed for the German Book Prize. Strubel was selected as the first Writer in Residence at the Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies. In 2019, she won the Preis der Literaturhäuser. Her novel Blaue Frau (Blue Woman) was awarded the German Book Prize 2021. She is also a sought-after translator from the English and the Swedish. Authors she has translated include Joan Didion, Lena Andersson, Lucia Berlin and Virginia Woolf. Antje Rávik Strubel lives in Potsdam.
