Brussels’ Book Fair is a gigantic library in the heart of Europe, which has become a major cultural event for more than 40 years. The Book Fair is located in the history-laden site of Tour & Taxis, where all the stakeholders of the publishing world will be brought together. Publishers from France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and Quebec will meet their Belgian counterparts.
Although the Fair is a place that promotes French-language writing, it doesn’t thrust aside international literature, which is fervently and persuasively promoted.
Each year, the International pavilion focuses on one specific country’s production in a 400m2 room that includes a library, a literary club, and an exhibition room.
Firmly based on general interests and opened to novelty, Brussels’ Book Fair does everything to generate meeting, thinking, and escaping dynamics. It fuels curiosities and interests, for all generations.
Everything is done to satisfy visitors coming alone, with their families, or with friends, for a one-hour walk or the entire day. The Fair is an opportunity to follow the news and the evolution of the publishing world, starting from de paper edition to the digital one.
Brussels’ Book Fair has achieved a roaring success, which is due to a rooting forged in the experience and the willing to find its inspiration sources in the mood of the times.
